The Certified Data Center Professional (CDCP®) is a 2-day course designed to expose participants to the key components of the data center.

CDCP® training addresses how to set up and improve key aspects such as power, cooling, security, cabling, safety, etc. to ensure a highly available data center.

CDCP® is the first training in the EPI Design and Build training track under the EPI Data Center Training Framework.

The primary audience for the CDCP® course is IT, Facilities, or Data Center Operations professionals working in and around the data center (representing both end-customers and/or service providers/facilitators) who are responsible for achieving and improving high availability and manageability of the Data Center. This includes:

  • Data center managers
  • Operations / Floor / Facility managers
  • Data center engineers
  • Network/system engineers
  • Data center sales/consultants

There is no specific prerequisite for the CDCP® course. However, participants with at least one or two years of experience in a data center or facilities environment may be best suited. Those with no experience are also welcome to participate.

After passing the certification exam, you should be able to:

  2. Describe all components important for high availability in a data center and how to effectively set up the data center

The CDCP® course is available in three flexible formats to suit your learning preferences:

  1. Training On Demand (TOD): Self-paced online learning with recorded lectures by an EPI Certified Instructor.
  2. Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT): Live online sessions with an EPI Certified Instructor, allowing for real-time interaction and Q&A.
  3. In-Person Training: Traditional classroom-style learning led by an EPI Certified Instructor.

The course includes a voucher for the one-hour CDCP® exam.

The exam consists of 40 multiple-choice questions. The passing mark is 27 out of 40.

Attendees passing the exam are awarded the internationally accredited and recognized Certified Data Center Professional (CDCP®) certificate.

CDCP® is globally accredited by EXIN, a fully independent exam and certification institute.

The CDCP® certificate is valid for 3 years, after which recertification is required. Please see the EPI Recertification Program for available options.
